We spent time analyzing and requesting feedback from clients on what they needed when it came to their experiences wearing our booties. We found that the major complaints or frustrations surrounding the use of the cheap shoe coverings were around the durability of the booties (how long they would last without tearing or ripping), the size of the booties (too many size options and never any large enough for the work boot or other large footwear) and the packaging the booties came in (after they break a bag of shoe covers open- they become scattered about and/or lost without a convenient way to keep them together). We addressed each concern with careful consideration and created the ShuBee® Original Shoe Cover. As awesome as the Original shoe cover was in comparison to the cheap shoe covers on the market…we found the need to go back to the drawing table…
Clients explained to us that they often found themselves going in and outside of homes and buildings. In doing so, they came in contact with all kinds of elements: mud, grime, water, snow, and ice. Even though they loved the usability and quality of the ShuBee® Original Shoe covers – they would absorb the fluids found on the bottom of work boots and shoes, making the material damp and possibly tracking those elements into the very floors they were trying to protect. So to make sure we covered all elements that clients came in contact with, we created the ShuBee® Waterproof Bootie line.
ShuBee® Waterproof Shoe Covers, part of ShuBee’s® BeeWear® line, are the BEST universal option on the market. They save the floors from most elements you can encounter on the bottom of your shoes. The material is made out of a textured plastic that we designed with a “grit” texture to make sure they maintain a skid resistance on surfaces. Instead of a tread on the bottom of the booties, we made the entire Waterproof boot cover out of treaded material.

Over the years, several companies have begun offering what they consider to be a waterproof bootie. However, they skipped the durability and tread part. Most are the consistency of a shower cap. They are thin and tear very easily. When we developed the first waterproof boot cover, we didn’t skip any corners to increase our margins. We made ours triple the thickness you will find in “other” versions on the market making sure they withstand extended use. We made sure to include many color options; Red, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Bright Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, and Black. Clients use the color to make sure their clients see them going the extra mile. Some use colors as a way of managing cross contamination in environments where different areas need to be completely contained. These clients choose certain colors for certain areas to make sure they can easily spot the ones who do and don’t belong.
