If you are an owner or manager of an HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical Service Business, you have probably heard of the Win Win Win philosophy!

The question I pose is this, WHO WINS FIRST? Historically, who would you say is the first person that has to win? The Company, The Client or the Team Member?

There is of course a lot to be said for the client winning. After all, without the client winning where would we be. With that said, I would like to challenge your thought process in regards to WHO WINS FIRST?

It is easy to fall into the trap of believing that your business’ growth and success is all about systems but in reality we are NOT in the systems business we are in the people business.

Our HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical business’ would never grow without great team members and great clients! People Business!

So, let’s look at this from a different angle. Do you believe that if your team really loves where they work, if they love what they do, that they WILL provide BETTER service? World Class Service

Is the opposite also true? If your team does not like what they do or doesn’t enjoy where they work what type of service do you believe they will provide your clients?

So, again, who needs to win first? THE TEAM!

When your HVAC techs, Plumbers or Electricians are winning the client wins! The team provides World Class Service because they love what they do and the company they do it for. They are winning! The Client is winning and YOU are winning!

How does the team win?

  • Know Your Team– what motivates them, what do they love about their role
  • Develop the team– make an investment in the training and development of your team
  • Create Clear Vision– TEAM vision, performance expectations, career paths, advancement
  • Reward Success– in public and on purpose, loud and proud
  • Listen– the team needs and has a voice, some of the best ideas come from the field

In the end your goal is growth and profitability. That comes from providing World Class Service Solutions. That comes from your TEAM! What are you doing today, in your Service Business, to insure that your HVAC Technicians, Plumbers, Electricians and Advisors are winning?
