Which Floor Protection is right for you?

In this article I would like to explain the difference between the Red  Carpet Treatment, Blue Floor Mask and Hard Surface Floor liner. I hope this will clear up any confusion over what each film is designed to protect.

First, I would like to cover the Red Carpet Treatment. This is a plastic film with an adhesive backing. This product is to be used on carpets only.

The Red Carpet Treatment is designed to protect your clients’ carpet from mud and debris coming from equipment or from technicians going in and out of the home.

The Red Carpet Treatment is designed to take the place of drop cloths and the adhesive backing ensures that the floor protection will stay in place. No more worrying about whether or not the drop cloth will stay in place when hauling equipment down stairs or hallways.

The Red Carpet Treatment is disposable and comes in a 200ft roll, so you just cut off what you will need from the roll and when you’re done working, just pull it up and toss it into the garbage. Another huge benefit is that the Red Carpet Treatment is highly visible; your clients will instantly see that you are taking extra steps in ensuring that you will keep their home clean.

Ok, now let’s tackle the Blue Floor Mask. This product is similar to the Red Carpet Treatment. The differences are (obviously) the color, and the amount of adhesive that is on the backing. This product is designed to protect hard surfaces, like tile, linoleum and marble.  The Blue Floor Mask is not to be used on hard wood flooring. Both rolls are reverse wound, making it very easy to roll the films onto the flooring.

Now the Hard Surface Floor liner is designed specifically to protect hard wood floors. The Hard Surface Floor liner has a light adhesive backing to prevent any floor damage when pulling the film up. Tip… Many clients say that they can reuse the Floor liner.  Because of the light adhesive, you can pull the film up from the flooring and it can easily wound back onto the roll.

I hope I answered some of your questions about these surface protection products. If you can think of any that I did not cover, please send a quick email to tamiko.slocumb@shubee.com, or call your Service Consultant at 877-974-8233. Thank you all for your continued support.
