Make the Deal Smell Sweet

Make the Deal Smell Sweet

You got the service call. Now all you have to do is show up at the homeowner’s door and and you’ve got a blank check. Wrong! You only get one chance to make a first impression. So, don’t blow it by making a smelly mistake!

1. Eliminate Body Odors

At least try to smell good. Don’t overdo it on the cologne. You don’t even have to wear cologne. But, always put a breath mint in your mouth before entering a client’s home. Since you’re going to be “up close and personable” with Mr. or Ms. Homeowner explaining your service call or bill, you want to make sure they don’t smell the onions you just ate on your burger at lunch!

ps. Use QuickiesTM Citrus Wipes to clean up your hands when you’re on the go

2. Air Freshener is a Must

Air freshener should be a part of each technician’s tool kit. You can use it in your service vehicle so it always smells fresh. But more importantly, use it in your service area when you complete a job. Or spray a little in the return air vent to circulate a citrus aroma through the house. As a matter of fact, a little spray of our ShuBee Famous Citrus ScentTM goes a long way. And it’s a great way to leave behind a great scent that reminds your client of the great job you did!

3. Leave a Goody Bag (with a Custom Refrigerator Magnet)

Goody bags are a great way to say thank you to your client. Fill a small plastic bag with candy and a custom refrigerator magnet with your name & call back number. It’s a sure way to leave them with a sweet taste in their mouths after your service call! And they’ll be sure to remember your name and number.
